Full Form: Post Graduate Teacher (English)

Level: Senior Secondary (Class 11–12)

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
• Master’s Degree in English from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
• Preferred:
• CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or STET qualified (depending on the state/central recruitment).
• Proficiency in English communication and teaching methodology.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach English literature and language to senior secondary students.
• Develop lesson plans, curriculum, and assessment strategies.
• Encourage reading, writing, critical thinking, and creative expression.
• Conduct tests, evaluate performance, and provide feedback.
• Prepare students for board exams and competitive entrance tests (if applicable).
• Engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to language and literature.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.

Skills Required

• Deep understanding of English grammar, literature, and communication.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Classroom management and student engagement techniques.
