Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience grooming and caring for pets, especially dogs and cats, and will be responsible for ensuring that every pet receives high-quality grooming and care in a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and de-shedding for dogs and cats.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, behavior, and any potential health concerns.
Handle pets with compassion and patience to ensure a stress-free experience.
Monitor and report signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior in pets.
Maintain grooming equipment and supplies in good working condition.
Schedule and manage grooming appointments efficiently.
Assist with other pet care duties as needed (e.g., feeding, walking, cleaning).
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a pet groomer, preferably with both dogs and cats.
Formal grooming certification is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of different breeds and their grooming requirements.
Strong animal handling skills and understanding of pet behavior.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physically fit and able to lift pets and stand for long periods.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced grooming salon or pet care facility.
Interaction with a variety of animals and pet owners.
Exposure to cleaning products, pet hair, and occasional noise.
