A PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the inspection and preparation of new vehicles before they are delivered to customers. This involves ensuring that vehicles meet quality standards, are free of defects, and are ready for delivery. The PDI In-Charge also manages a team of technicians, coordinates with other departments, and maintains accurate records of the PDI process. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and Executing PDI:Overseeing the pre-delivery inspection process according to established standards and checklists.
- Ensuring Quality Control:Ensuring that all vehicles are thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and that all accessories are installed correctly.
- Managing Technicians:Leading and mentoring a team of PDI technicians, ensuring they adhere to SOPs and safety protocols.
- Coordinating with Other Departments:Working with sales, service, and delivery teams to plan schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth vehicle preparation.
- Maintaining Records:Keeping accurate records of all inspections, issues found, and resolutions.
- Reporting and Problem Solving:Reporting any defects or issues to the appropriate parties and coordinating for their resolution.
- Adhering to Standards:Ensuring compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
- Managing Resources:Ensuring the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for the PDI process.
