Job Role:
- Reading wiring diagrams: Understanding the diagrams to identify the correct parts and their locations on the board
- Following sample boards: Replicating the pathways illustrated on the sample PCBs
- Selecting components: Choosing the appropriate electronic devices to connect to the PCB, such as transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, relays, and resistors
- Using hand tools: Using a variety of tools to construct and finish the PCB, including soldering kits, pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, heat guns, and special hand tools
- Manipulating wires: Safely twisting, stripping, and bending wire leads, inserting color wires into holes, and crimping
- Press-fitting electronics: Fitting the electronics onto the PCB
