ü Report 10 minutes prior to the OPD starts.
ü To ensure OPD checklist is folowed step by step.
ü Welcome the patient with smile
ü Introduce yourself to the patient
ü Record AR/NCT
ü Escort patient to the waiting area/ OPD chamber.
ü Coordinate with doctors/ optometrist and call the patients by name when their turn comes.
ü For dilation, first check the Identification Band and put the appropriate dilating eye drop.
ü Ensure the doctor and the optometrist are in their respective chambers when the patients are ready to be seen.
ü In case of dilations and additional procedures required keep the patients informed on timeframes.
ü In case of non availaibility of doctor or optometrist beyond the defined stipulated time, escalate the same to the floor manager/ centre manager for immidiate redressal.
ü Assisiting the patients and doctors as and when required.
ü Provide special care needs to the vulnerable patients.
ü If any procedures/ investigations are advised, help the patients to get prompt billing done before starting the procedure.
ü In case of emergency patient to be directly taken for the procedure and billing formalities to be handled with the attendants
ü Escorting all the patients to pharmacy, optical, counselling as required.
ü Ensuring all relevant patients get future appointments.
ü Ensure patients to fill the feedback forms available in OPD waiting area.
ü Inform OPD manager immediately in case of any grievance of patient.
ü Reporting of accidental incidents.
ü Prompt in activation of codes and follow codes policy.
