Job Summary:
The Paint shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operations within the paint shop, ensuring that painting and finishing processes meet quality standards and production timelines. This role involves managing a team of painters, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining inventory and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the paintshop team.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
- Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet production targets.
- Maintain quality control by inspecting paint jobs and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within the paintshop.
- Train and mentor staff on painting procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of paint supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Resolve team or process-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Document and report work progress, issues, and improvements to upper management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a paintshop.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, Blasting, and metalizing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
