About the role:
- The position holder is part of the Operational Risk Management Governance team within Group Functions Risk Management (GFRM).
- The position is primarily supporting activities to improve operational risk activities in line with a defined vision.
- This includes applying your technology and analytics expertise to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational risk activities.
- As a Data Analyst in the Group Functions Risk Management team, you will help deliver impactful end-to-end solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational risk activities.
- The role provides an opportunity to apply your technology and analytics expertise.
- Your key tasks include translating the requirements of Operational Risk Management (ORM) into end-to-end solutions by using ORM's existing applications, and, available reporting and automation technologies.
About the team:
The focus of the team is on delivering a streamlined and efficient ORM methodology. Risk oversight is maintained over major cross-company change initiatives. Tools and education are provided to support colleagues in identifying, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting key operational risks, including those that are new or emerging. A connection is established between control-related performance and incentive or rewards systems to promote appropriate risk behaviors. Ongoing focus is also on developing operational risk management practices and data analytics.
About you:
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability in a role analysing significant data volumes.
- Experience in a role where business requirements are met with technology solutions and then supporting those applications/solutions.
- Proficient in SQL, at least one programming language (e.g. Python) and reporting / data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
- Superb interpersonal skills and solid attention to detail.
- Experience with robotic process automation (preferred)
- Good understanding of enterprise risk management concepts
- Ability to prioritise multiple topics simultaneously and switch from detailed analytics to "big picture"
- Excellent communication skills, convincing and persuasive personality, can build and maintain professional networks across multiple departments
- Great teammate, sensitive to cultural differences, has passion for knowledge sharing and to transfer experience within and outside the team
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience within and across team and other risk management functions
