Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Online IGCSE Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science examination. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity ideal for educators with a strong background in teaching programming, algorithms, systems, and computational thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver live online lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus.
- Teach topics such as programming (Python/Java), algorithms, data representation, networks, and computer systems.
- Use a variety of digital tools to create interactive and effective learning experiences.
- Provide exam-focused support including past paper practice, revision sessions, and progress tracking.
- Offer timely and constructive feedback to students and/or parents.
- Maintain clear communication and flexible scheduling with students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, with at least 1 year teaching IGCSE Computer Science.
- Strong programming knowledge (Python preferred).
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE syllabus (0478 or 0984).
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and tools.
- Reliable internet connection and digital teaching setup.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PGCE, B.Ed., or other recognized teaching certification.
- Experience with online education and international students.
- Knowledge of exam marking schemes and assessment criteria.
