About the Traineeship Program
We are looking for an Material Innovation Trainees who are curious about the future of fashion fabrics and sustainable alternatives.. This is an unpaid traineeship program (6-8 Weeks) where you will gain hands-on experience in experimenting with new materials, smart textiles, and eco-friendly innovations that can transform the way fashion is designed, produced, and worn.
**Only students or recent graduates pursuing/completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Textile Engg./ Material Science Engg./ Textile Design and or relevant fields may apply. Selection will be based on interview performance. Candidates must be available for full-time (Remote) traineeship.
Key Responsibilities
- Research innovative and sustainable materials (bio-fabrics, recycled fibers, natural dyes, smart textiles).
- Support in material testing for strength, comfort, and durability.
- Collaborate with the fashion & product teams to integrate materials into design concepts.
- Assist in building a material library for Wabric’s upcoming collections.
- Document findings and present reports on material feasibility.
Requirements
- Background or interest in textile design, material science, fashion tech, or sustainability.
- Passion for eco-conscious design and experimentation.
- Curiosity for emerging tech (bio-materials, 3D-printed fabrics, smart wearables).
