A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of facilities, equipment, and grounds. Their duties include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing issues, and ensuring the overall functionality and safety of a building and its systems. They may work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Performing regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and scheduled repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintaining the building's interior and exterior, including landscaping and general cleanliness.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Tracking and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
- Emergency Response: Responding to emergency maintenance requests and providing on-call support.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Physical Dexterity: Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks.
