Title: Legal Technology SME / LegalTech Solutions Architect
Type: Full-time or Fractional (30–40 hours/week) — Remote

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) / LegalTech Solutions Architect to help design, implement, and optimize technology solutions for U.S.-based law firms. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record working with mid-size or large U.S. law firms (or their vendors) and deep expertise in legal workflows and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Consult on and design legal technology solutions for U.S.-based law firms.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate practice management systems, document management systems, and other legal technology tools.
- Analyze and optimize end-to-end legal workflows (intake → case management → document management → billing).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including HIPAA, SOC2, and ABA guidelines.
- Lead or support projects involving document automation, CRM integration, AI (including Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and other legal tech innovations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and client teams.
- Stay current on trends and emerging technologies in the LegalTech space.
Required Qualifications:
✅ Proven experience working with U.S.-based mid-size or large law firms — or their technology/operations vendors.
✅ Hands-on expertise with tools such as:
- Clio, NetDocuments, iManage
- Relativity
- LexisNexis, Westlaw Edge
- PracticePanther, Litify, or similar legal practice management software
- ✅ Deep understanding of:
- Core legal workflows (intake, case management, document management, billing)
- Data privacy and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, ABA rules)
- Integration of legal technology solutions (document automation, AI, CRM, PMS)
