We seek a nurturing and creative Kindergarten Teacher to foster a joyful, stimulating, and safe learning environment for young children (ages 3–6). The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, patience, and the ability to teach foundational literacy, numeracy, social skills, and curiosity through play-based and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons in:
- Literacy: Phonics, storytelling, pre-writing skills.
- Numeracy: Counting, shapes, patterns, basic math concepts.
- Science/Social Studies: Nature exploration, community roles, seasons.
- Creative Arts: Music, dance, crafts, drama.
- Use play-based learning, Montessori/Waldorf-inspired methods, or other child-centered pedagogies.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
- Encourage positive behavior and conflict resolution among children.
- Assessment & Progress Tracking:
- Observe and document children’s developmental milestones (social, cognitive, motor skills).
- Provide regular feedback to parents through meetings or reports.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure a clean, safe, and child-friendly classroom.
- Assist with basic hygiene (handwashing, toilet training) as needed.
- Parent Engagement:
- Communicate daily/weekly updates to parents (e.g., newsletters, apps like ClassDojo).
- Organize parent-teacher meetings and seasonal events (e.g., annual day, field trips).
- Professional Collaboration:
- Work with teaching assistants, special educators, and school staff.
- Participate in training on early childhood education trends (e.g., Reggio Emilia, SEL).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (ECE)/Diploma in Montessori/NTT.
- Experience: 1–2 years teaching kindergarten/pre-primary (fresh graduates with internships may apply).
- Key Skills:
- Patience, creativity, and energy to engage young learners.
- Knowledge of child psychology and developmental stages.
- Familiarity with phonics programs (e.g., Jolly Phonics) and learning through play.
- Basic tech skills (for interactive whiteboards, educational apps like ABCmouse).
Preferred (But Not Mandatory):
- Certification in First Aid/CPR.
- Multilingual ability (if teaching in a diverse setting).
- Experience with special needs/inclusive education.
