Job Summary:
The Kindergarten Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations, curriculum planning, and overall performance of the kindergarten section. This role involves providing leadership, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Instruction:
Leadership & Administration:
- Lead and manage KG teaching staff, including teachers and assistants, ensuring effective classroom management.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards for the well-being of children.
Curriculum Planning & Delivery:
- Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of age-appropriate educational programs and activities aligned with school curriculum and early childhood development standards.
- Ensure a balance of play-based and structured learning activities that foster physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Teacher Support & Development:
- Supervise and provide professional guidance to kindergarten teachers through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
- Identify and arrange professional development opportunities for staff to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
Parental Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and the school’s policies and programs.
- Address parental concerns and collaborate on strategies to support children’s growth and learning at home.
Student Welfare & Development:
- Monitor and assess children’s individual progress and development, addressing learning or behavioral concerns proactively.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued.
Operational Tasks:
- Oversee classroom and resource management, ensuring all supplies, tools, and facilities are in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with school administration on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for the kindergarten program.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Teaching certification is preferred
- Experience: Prior experience of 6 to 8 years working with young children, in a preschool or kindergarten setting and 3+ successful years of leadership experience in KG Curriculum
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Lead and manage KG teaching staff, including teachers and assistants, ensuring effective classroom management.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards for the well-being of children.
- Knowledge of child development and early learning theories.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning tools.
