The Key Accounts Manager – Renal Care is responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and improving the market positioning of renal care products within an assigned territory. This role combines strategic planning, scientific engagement, and commercial execution to positively influence prescribing behavior and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement territory-specific business plans to meet sales targets and optimize product positioning.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align local strategies with broader commercial objectives.
Identify growth opportunities and formulate account-specific strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain long-term relationships with specialists and other key healthcare professionals.
Facilitate scientific discussions around product indications, efficacy, safety, and treatment protocols.
Coordinate speaker programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives with key opinion leaders.
Knowledge Building
Educate multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and decision-making units (DMUs) on the value proposition and clinical data of renal care products.
Deliver targeted training sessions to emergency physicians, junior doctors, nurses, and other hospital stakeholders.
Use multiple communication channels and techniques to enhance stakeholder understanding and engagement.
Sales Performance
Achieve or exceed sales objectives while effectively managing assigned budgets.
Promote renal care products responsibly, using balanced messaging and appropriate promotional tools.
Ensure products are used in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Compliance & Training
Complete all required training and product certification programs.
Follow internal policies and industry regulations at all times.
Ensure ethical and compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and patient groups.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor//'s degree in a science-related field; MBA from a reputable institution is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, specifically within the renal care domain.
Strong track record of sales success and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
Proven ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and maturity.
