- Preparing and issuing accurate invoices for inpatient services, ensuring they are timely and reflect all charges incurred during the patient's stay.
- Maintaining detailed and up-to-date billing records, including patient information, service charges, and payment details.
- Monitoring payments, following up on outstanding invoices, and resolving any billing discrepancies or payment issues.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, hospital policies, and insurance requirements.
- Working with other hospital departments, including finance, legal, and patient registration, to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes
- Generating reports on billing activities, financial performance, and outstanding balances for management review.
- Addressing patient billing inquiries, explaining charges, and assisting with payment options.
