Role Overview
We are seeking a computer science instructor with expertise in software engineering and application development to join our International team. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of recent industry experience (within the last 5 years) in software development and the ability to deliver practice-driven, engaging teaching in line with UK vocational qualification standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources aligned with Pearson BTEC and Ofqual frameworks.
Design and manage assignments, assessments, and projects to meet vocational learning outcomes.
Conduct grading, feedback, and academic moderation to British qualification standards.
Deliver interactive sessions on programming, web development, and software engineering concepts.
Supervise applied student projects, preparing learners for industry careers.
Continuously update curriculum delivery with emerging software technologies.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Tools
Programming: Python (OOP, algorithms, APIs).
Web Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Flask/Django.
Software Engineering: SDLC, Agile/Scrum, UML modelling.
Testing: pytest, Selenium, CI/CD workflows.
Version Control: Git/GitHub.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s desirable).
Minimum 3 years recent professional experience in software or application development.
Prior teaching/training experience desirable but strong industry background considered.
