Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-precision injection moulds for plastic components using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, UG NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
- Interpret 2D/3D component drawings and translate them into feasible mould designs.
- Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles are applied during the design stage.
- Coordinate with tool room and production teams for mould trials, modifications, and final approvals.
- Select appropriate materials and components for moulds based on performance and durability.
- Resolve issues related to mould fitting, parting lines, ejection systems, and cooling circuits.
- Maintain and update design documentation, BOMs, and revision controls.
- Provide technical support during mould manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Optimize designs to reduce cycle time, improve product quality, and increase mould life.
- Collaborate with suppliers and clients to finalize product and mould design specifications.
