- Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and related tissues using dental instruments, X-rays, or other diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases such as tooth decay, gum disease, and other conditions.
- Perform routine procedures including cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and extractions.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform surgical procedures when necessary.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, diet, and preventive dental care.
- Develop treatment plans and discuss options with patients clearly and compassionately.
- Maintain accurate patient records including treatment notes, diagnoses, and recommendations.
- Stay up to date with advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education.
- Supervise dental hygienists, assistants, and other support staff as needed.
