Role Overview: GenAI Engineer
The Software / GenAI Engineer plays a critical role in developing Generative AI solutions on AWS Cloud. This position offers a valuable opportunity to deepen technical expertise in AI frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and application development, while actively contributing to the delivery of production-grade GenAI systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and architects, you’ll participate in building scalable, innovative AI solutions and growing your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
AI Agent Development & Support
- Develop Generative AI agents leveraging AWS Cloud infrastructure
- Assist in deploying AI solutions for production environments under senior mentorship
- Work with AI frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, and LlamaIndex for specific use cases
- Learn and apply prompt engineering techniques and model optimization strategies
Application Development & Architecture
- Build full-stack applications using modern development practices and AI agent tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Develop scalable REST APIs with authentication, validation, and robust error handling.
- Integrate databases for AI workloads, including vector databases and traditional relational databases
Collaboration & Continuous Growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical constraints.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
- Document implementations and share knowledge across the team.
- Engage in hands-on learning with structured mentorship and project exposure
Requirements
Qualifications
Core Competencies
- 3–4 years of software development experience, including exposure to cloud technologies.
- Additional 6+ months of hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI frameworks.
- Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of REST API development.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Familiarity with Terraform or willingness to learn infrastructure automation.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- High motivation to learn and grow in AI and cloud architecture domains
Technical Skills
- Experience with AI frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or similar.
- Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2).
- Proficiency with development tools including Git, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Hands-on experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Basic understanding of DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and Terraform
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to telecom or banking industries.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or Developer Associate certification.
- Interest in advanced Terraform and cloud architecture training.
- Academic or professional exposure to machine learning.
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal AI projects
