Role of Floor Incharge (Healthcare)
A Floor Incharge in healthcare is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of a hospital floor/ward, ensuring quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating with doctors, and managing daily operations to maintain efficiency and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Safety
- Ensure all patients receive proper care as per hospital standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns to doctors promptly.
- Address patient and family queries, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and dignity.
Staff Supervision & Coordination
- Allocate duties and prepare duty rosters for nursing staff.
- Supervise and guide nurses, ward boys, and support staff.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to junior staff.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to protocols.
Clinical & Administrative Duties
- Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
- Maintain updated patient records, charts, and reports.
- Oversee administration of medicines and treatment schedules.
- Ensure availability of supplies, medicines, and equipment.
- Report incidents, errors, or unusual events to higher management.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies and safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits/checks on nursing practices and ward maintenance.
- Coordinate with other departments (lab, pharmacy, housekeeping, etc.).
Leadership & Emergency Handling
- Act as the first point of escalation for any patient-related issues.
- Lead and support staff during medical emergencies or code situations.
- Motivate and foster teamwork among staff.
- Attend meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
