Roles & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):
· Conceptualize and Design: Develop original clothing collections from concept to completion, aligning with brand identity, market trends, and target audience preferences.[1][2]
· Create Technical Packs: Translate design ideas into detailed technical drawings, tech packs, and production specifications—ensuring every garment is manufacturable at scale.[1]
· Select Materials: Research and select high-quality fabrics, trims, and embellishments, balancing aesthetics, function, and cost.[2][1]
· Oversee Production: Work closely with pattern makers, sample developers, and production teams—manage fittings, quality control, and make adjustments to ensure the final product meets design standards and brand quality.[3][2][1]
· Trend Analysis: Stay current with global fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques—apply insights to create relevant, market-ready designs.[4][1]
· Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with merchandising, marketing, and sales to ensure collections are commercially viable and support the brand’s growth.[5]
· Sustainability Focus: Integrate ethical sourcing, sustainable materials, and responsible production practices into your design process.[5]
· Collection Development: Plan and develop cohesive seasonal collections, from mood boards to final runway or retail presentation.[2]
· Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve manufacturing or fit issues—deliver garments that look great and wear well.[3][1]
· Present & Communicate: Showcase collections to buyers, partners, and internal teams—tell the story behind each design.[1][2]
Who Should Apply?
