Job Summary
Evaluate, select, design, install, implement, configure, upgrade and optimize the performance of Altera application systems, databases and assigned technologies required to deliver infrastructure for internal and client-facing applications.
Responsibilities
- Manages, maintains, monitors and supports the infrastructure environment in assigned technology domain
- Installs, configures and supports hardware and software required to operate assigned technology including the deployment in cloud technologies
- Works with operations, to provide ongoing maintenance including updates, patches and antivirus updates in the deployed infrastructure and application technologies
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues in assigned technology including hardware, software, operating systems and application-related issues; Conducts performance monitoring, systems health checks and capacity planning for cloud technologies such as Azure/AWS.
- Identifies the common causes of the defects, prioritizes them and systematically removes them so that they do not reoccur in further development work and reduces the overall defect injection rate (DIR)
- Ensures validation has happened (peer, stakeholders) and all review comments have been closed / incorporated before delivery of any artifacts
- Takes complete ownership for the assigned task and reports progress of the project / task to all stakeholders timely; Keeps all stakeholders informed in a timely manner of scope creep and schedule delays
- Documents issues with resolutions and work directly, both inside and outside the team, to drive constant improvement
- Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
- Reviews and provides input to the project manager and leadership to approve and confirm the project configuration and build management plans
- Standardizes and automates processes and monitoring using scripting technology; Understands and follows change management procedures

- Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level.
- Take ownership of assigned task(s) and provide updates.
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Technical/Azure/AWS certifications
Experience:
- Team Player with proven communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent writing and communication skills (able to use office 365 all solutions)
- Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
- Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business language
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web Services
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Strong Knowledge of software applications and operating platforms, storage area networks, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Performance Troubleshooting, IIS web server troubleshooting, Microsoft Power Shell.
- Basic familiarity with healthcare organizations.
- Well organized, detail oriented, self-starter, able to work independently.
- Must demonstrate the ability to learn and communicate new technologies.
