Key Responsibilities:
Lead the on-site execution of E&I construction activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and field crews engaged in electrical and instrumentation work.
Review and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and installation details.
Monitor progress, schedule adherence, and quality of work, providing daily and weekly reporting to project management.
Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly managed on site.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and ensure installation quality.
Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in collaboration with the commissioning team.
Enforce site safety policies, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with relevant mining and construction safety standards.
Contribute to planning meetings, schedule lookaheads, and interface coordination across disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural).
Maintain documentation of inspections, punch lists, redlines, and as-built records.
Requirements:
Electrical or Instrumentation trade certification or engineering degree.
Experience in E&I construction, including a supervisory role on mining or heavy industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, hazardous area classifications, and applicable codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, AS/NZS).
Experience working with large-scale mining equipment, process plants, substations, MCCs, and DCS/PLC systems.
Proven ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
Familiarity with project controls, progress tracking, and reporting systems.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Ability to work in remote or FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) conditions, if applicable.
