Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Proofreaders with a strong command of English and a keen
eye for detail to work on humanities books and journals. The ideal candidate should be
passionate about editing and possess in-depth knowledge of various style guides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform light, medium, and heavy proofreading of humanities books and journal articles based on client specifications.
- Apply editorial styles as per Chicago Manual of Style, APA, and Oxford Style Manual.
- Review and validate proofread content submitted by freelancers and in-house editors.
- Share constructive feedback and offer guidance to other proofreaders.
- Ensure quality and schedule adherence for assigned projects.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player, while also being able to work independently.
- Adapt to publisher-specific guidelines with flexibility.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills in addressing editorial or workflow issues.
Skills Required:
- Excellent English language, communication, and writing skills
- Strong proofreading and editing capabilities
- Hands-on experience in quality control and review processes
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Passion for reading, writing, and language accuracy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹11,231.68 - ₹33,510.07 per month
