We are looking for an experienced Driver to join our supply chain logistics and operations team. The ideal candidate should hold a valid LMV and HMV license. Knowledge or experience in operating a forklift will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, retail outlets, and distribution centers.
- Drive company vehicles for official purposes, including errands, pickups, and drops as required.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for mechanical items and safety issues; perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Plan efficient routes and adhere to delivery or travel schedules.
- Maneuver trucks or vehicles into loading/unloading positions as needed.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, rest periods, fuel consumption, tolls, and kilometres driven.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and internal company policies.
- Operate forklifts or assist with loading/unloading if required.
Requirements:
- Valid LMV and HMV licenses.
- Prior experience in driving heavy and light vehicles.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with GPS and route planning.
- Forklift operating knowledge is a plus.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-focused attitude.
