Monks is looking for a Director - Strategic Planning to join our team to work with our existing and prospective clients in creating ground-breaking work and help define the strategic direction businesses should take in the digital space.
Role & Responsibilities
- Understanding the context of a client and their business objectives and translating these objectives into a data driven strategic direction for the client
- Proactively developing marketing and communication strategies for new and existing clients.
- Translating data and research into valuable insights and analysis for Creative and Media teams that can be used to craft effective communications and inspired work.
- Provide strategy guidance and effective cross-channel recommendations as campaigns are developed, as well as guide and participate in the development of branded experiences and messaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, multi-market teams to ensure effective delivery of proposals and campaigns.
- Deepening our clients’ understanding of their markets and audiences through research and presentation of insight.

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Marketing or a relevant field.
- Proven track record of producing great strategy work in a marketing business.
- Experience in utilising research and insights to generate creative briefs and marketing plans.
- Ability to identify strategic needs of a client business, provide sound marketing and communications recommendations and generate alignment with key stakeholders and partners in the execution of a plan.
- Understanding of a wide range of industries, markets and brands, and what it takes to stand out and service them.
- Exceptional communications and presentation skills.
