A Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting dentists and ensuring smooth operation of dental procedures. They assist during treatments, manage patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and suction devices.
- Patient Care: Help patients feel comfortable, explain procedures, and provide post-treatment instructions.
- Sterilization & Hygiene: Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized.
- Clinical Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and restock supplies as needed.
- Record Maintenance: Assist in maintaining patient records, treatment notes, and appointment scheduling.
- Radiography: Take and process dental X-rays (if certified and permitted).
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage dental materials and stock.
