Job Description:
As a Cost Estimation Specialist at Fusion Furnish, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, and developing pricing strategies for office furniture products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that cost estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with the company's financial objectives. Responsibilities:
1. Project Analysis: Analyze project specifications, customer requirements, and design proposals to determine the materials, labor, and overhead costs associated with manufacturing office furniture products.
2. Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various furniture projects, including itemized breakdowns of material costs, manufacturing costs, and overhead expenses.
3. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering without compromising product quality or performance. Implement cost-saving measures and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to minimise expenses.
4. Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies and models for office furniture products based on cost estimates, market analysis, and competitive positioning. Ensure that pricing is competitive, profitable, and aligned with company objectives.
5. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track actual costs against estimated costs, and provide regular updates to management on cost variances and project profitability.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams to align cost estimation efforts with business goals and customer requirements.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in cost estimation, pricing analysis, or financial analysis, preferably in the office furniture manufacturing or related industry.
3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify cost drivers, and develop accurate cost estimates.
4. Proficiency in financial modelling, cost accounting principles, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for cost estimation and analysis.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present cost estimation findings to stakeholders.
6. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost estimation and budget management.
7. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials sourcing, and supply chain management concepts is preferred.
