As a Computer Repair Technician, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware and software issues across a wide range of devices. You’ll also assist customers, recommend hardware or software upgrades, and maintain accurate service records.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals using diagnostic tools and hands‑on testing.
- Remove and replace faulty components (e.g., HDD/SSD, RAM, motherboards, power supplies) and install peripherals like printers, scanners, and monitors.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications, manage driver conflicts, and remove malware.
- Perform data recovery and backup procedures to safeguard against data loss whenever possible.
- As part of maintenance routines, perform disk cleanup, defragmentation, system updates, and performance optimization.
