Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic various South Indian, Continental and cafe-style dishes.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation.
- Support senior chefs in food preparation and daily kitchen operations.
- Manage inventory levels and assist in stock ordering to prevent shortages.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain food quality and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commis chef in a professional kitchen.
- Expertise in South Indian, Continental and cafe-style cuisine with strong knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary diploma, Bachelors in Hotel Management or relevant certification is preferred.
