Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team at Jus'Trufs, an artisanal chocolate and dessert brand in Bangalore with an well established clientele for cakes, desserts and special gluten-free and normal breads. The Baker will be trained and thereafter be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods such as cakes, pastries, cookies, and breads, with a focus on consistency, hygiene, creativity and use of high quality natural ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will be trained as per the company standards
- Will undergo training initially for which one must be patient and passionate about learning.
- Prepare and bake a variety of items such as cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, breads, and cookies.
- Ensure freshness, quality, and consistency in all products.
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain baking logs.
- Manage ingredient inventory and inform management of shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the baking area as per FSSAI guidelines.
- Decorate cakes and desserts as per customer specifications (including eggless, vegan, gluten-free options).
- Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery equipment safely.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support production needs for both the café and online orders.
- Assist in new product development and trial batches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must know to read and write basic English.
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Knowledge of standard baking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and cleanliness.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
- Experience with dietary bakes (eggless, gluten-free, vegan) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends or peak seasons.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Baking.
- Experience in a commercial bakery or café setting.
