The said candidate
Operation & Maintenance
· Responsible for daily operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of all HVAC systems including central chiller plants, split AC units, VRV/VRF systems, and AHUs.
2. Patient-Critical Areas Monitoring
· Ensure continuous and optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality in ICUs, OTs, Cath labs, and other sterile/critical care areas as per NABH/JCI standards.
3. Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS)
· Prepare and execute routine maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and ensure energy-efficient functioning of HVAC equipment.
4. Breakdown & Emergency Repairs
· Attend to urgent breakdowns promptly, minimizing downtime in patient-care areas and ensuring uninterrupted hospital operations.
5. Air Quality & Infection Control
· Maintain air filters, ducts, and laminar flow systems to ensure infection control and adherence to hospital hygiene standards.
6. Energy Efficiency & Cost Control
· Monitor and optimize power consumption of air-conditioning systems; recommend energy-saving practices to management.
7. Compliance & Documentation
· Maintain proper service records, logbooks, AMC records, and ensure compliance with statutory and hospital audit requirements.
8. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
· Liaise with external vendors/AMC providers for major repairs, warranty claims, and replacement of parts.
9. Safety & Standards
· Follow electrical and mechanical safety protocols; ensure systems comply with hospital safety regulations.
10. Team & Shift Support
· Support other engineering/biomedical teams; be available for rotational shifts and emergency calls including nights/weekends as hospital operations demand.
