Main Purpose of Role:
Support the goals of the General Accounting team through the accurate and timely delivery of routine accounting activities and assigned projects in alignment with Kimberly-Clark’s internal control policies, procedures and guidelines.
Role Accountabilities:
Perform routine accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and other month-end close activities
Act as liaison between Kimberly-Clark and all third party auditors by providing transaction support, handling inquires, and communicating policies, procedures and guidelines
Ensure consistent application of established corporate financial controls
Maintain process documentation and policies to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and reliability of established financial controls
Identify, recommend, and participate in the implementation of process transformation opportunities
Actively participate in special projects that meet the needs of customers and/or enhance efficiencies and streamline department processes and procedures
Functional/Business skills
Microsoft Office applications
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
Essential Knowledge / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills; attention to detail
Ability to work through challenging situations or complex problems to achieve goal
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, including providing stakeholder updates and communications
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
Ability to identify and action opportunities for continuous improvement
Some accounting experience preferred
