About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Local Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations.
Prepare (or work with an outside tax accounting firm) and submit accurate and timely tax returns to local authorities.
Stay updated on changes in local tax laws and regulations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Work closely with local regulators to ensure adherence to financial and business regulations.
Keep abreast of regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly.
Payroll Management:
Collaborate with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
Address any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
Work with HR to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Transfer Pricing:
Develop and implement transfer pricing policies in accordance with local regulations.
Ensure documentation and reporting requirements related to transfer pricing are met.
Monthly Journal Entries:
Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and on time.
Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Generate financial statements for management reporting.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for both local and corporate management.
Internal Controls:
Implement and adhere to corporate internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Conduct periodic internal audits to identify and address any potential issues.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and track budgets.
Provide input for financial forecasting based on local market trends.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, regulators, and external partners such as auditors and tax consultants.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance teams at the headquarters.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) professional degree
6 plus years of experience
2 Years of experience in managing an Accounting team.
Experience in setting up the new Organization and Legal aspects of setting up a software unit is preferred.
Experience partnering with US-based Accounting teams
Proven experience leading Finance operations and activities as listed above.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Experience in the payments / Fintech sector would be an advantage
This will be a hybrid role, candidates must be able to work in Noida or travel each day
