Role Summary:
Flowserve is currently looking for a Welding Inspector. In this role you will be in charge of coordinating and managing the Welding inspection compliance ensuring the quality and safety of welded parts in adherence to standards to prevent defects and ensure the integrity of welded components. You will requires additional understanding the general and technical requirements of welding process
The role involves to understand fabrication drawings , inspecting welding materials ,Welding inspection parameters, dimension & visual inspection and ensure the highest quality and efficiency in welding projects. Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Pre-Welding Inspection:
a. Inspect welding materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
b. Supervise base material preparation, electrode storage, and welding operations before welding.
c. Cross verify calibration certificates of the all welding inspection tools and equipment.
- During Welding Inspection:
- Post-Welding Inspection:
a. Verify that the welds meet visual and dimensional requirements.
b. weld seams to ensure they are free of cracks, porosity, and other defects.
3.3 Defect Identification: Identify any defects or discontinuities in the weld and determine if repairs are necessary.- Documentation:

Overall Responsibilities
- Ensure inspection of inhouse and supplier (as required) fabrication parts and ensure calibration of equipment, Inspection and records.
- Support Customer inspection as required for welding related activities .
- Support (as required ) inspection for Welding Radiography for Castings and Pipe welding.
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits related to welding as and when required.
- Continuously improve the Welding inspection process by driving Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
- Drive Welding related KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets.
- Participate in customer meetings for any welding inspection related issue or process discussion.
Required Experience ,Qualifications and Skills
- BE Mech with 8-10 yrs experience or DME with 08-13 yrs experience in Welding & Overall Quality preferably in Pump's OEM environment.
- NDE certification for MPI, LP, UT, RT & VT
- Certified CSWIP level-1 /2
- Knowledge of Piping Fabrication & supervision of fabrication activities.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment found in machining, assembly and test operations of pumps and associated accessories
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS.
- Qualification & knowledge of ISO 3834-2 Compliance
- Experience in implementation of Welding WPQ & WPS.
- Knowledge of Pressure vessels as per ASME section VIII Div 1
- Knowledge of Weld Map preparation.
- Sufficient practical experience of Radiography testing & film review.
- Experience in quality control department
- Proficient in Data analysis tools & techniques, corrective action request management, RCA and CAPA tools.
- Understanding of product/ Process flow
- Strong Organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , English & Fluent in business conversation
- Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude.
