The ideal candidate will drive innovation, provide architectural leadership, and ensure alignment with business goals.ScopeThe Principal Applications Specialist – Systems Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for defining and executing architectural strategies across complex enterprise systems. This role focuses on leveraging Azure AI Foundry to build intelligent applications and services, ensuring high performance, scalability, and compliance. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, and external partners to deliver cutting-edge solutions.Principal Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesArchitect and lead the implementation of AI-powered solutions using Azure AI Foundry.Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap with a focus on AI/ML integration.Collaborate with business and IT leadership to align technical strategies with organizational goals.Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native systems on Azure.Establish architectural standards, governance models, and best practices.Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to design principles.Drive innovation through the exploration of AI, ML, and data-driven technologies.Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.Partner with vendors and service providers to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions.
equired Technical ExpertiseAzure AI & Cloud ArchitectureProven experience with Azure AI Foundry and related services (Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, etc.)Expertise in designing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments.Bonus: Ability to design AI workloads using AI Design Areas: Application design, data platform, training data, grounding data, operations, and testing.Strong understanding of GenAIOps and MLOps, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI practices.Deep knowledge of Azure cloud architecture, including networking, identity, and security.Bonus: Experience with data governance and lineage in AI systems, ensuring traceability and compliance.Ability to architect hybrid AI systems that combine cloud-native services with on-premises or edge components.Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing.Systems ArchitectureExtensive experience and expertise in designing multi-agent systems and integrating them into enterprise workflows.Bonus: Experience designing and deploying agentic applications using Azure AI FoundryBonus: Experience with Azure Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) for scalable and secure AI deploymentStrong background in high-availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.Experience leveraging Azure’s model selection and cost-efficiency tools.Familiarity with data architecture, including data lakes, pipelines, and real-time analytics.Deep understanding of the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) for AI workloads.Development & ToolingProficiency in C# .NET programming language.Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service).Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
QualificationsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).8+ years of relevant experience in software architecture and systems design.Multiple technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate).Strong communication and leadership skills.Experience working in regulated industries and with compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, etc.).
