Job Description of Striping & Labelling operator
A Striping & Labelling Operator in the pharmaceutical industry is responsible for preparing and applying labels to pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. This involves operating machinery, verifying product details, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The operator also needs to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operating Striping and Labelling Machines: This includes setting up, operating, and maintaining labelling equipment to apply labels to pharmaceutical products.
· Verifying Product Information: Checking product details, batch numbers, and expiry dates to ensure accurate labelling.
· Maintaining a Clean Work Area: Keeping the work area tidy and organized to prevent contamination and maintain good hygiene.
· Adhering to SOPs: Following established procedures for labelling and packing to ensure product quality and safety.
· Reporting Faults: Identifying and reporting any malfunctions or irregularities in the labelling machinery.
· Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to company guidelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
· Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of labelled products and inventory.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Basic Literacy and Numeracy: The ability to read, write, and understand instructions and documents.
· Good Dexterity: Manual dexterity for handling labelling equipment and materials.
· Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate labelling.
· Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Practices: Basic understanding of pharmaceutical production processes and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
· Ability to Follow Instructions: Following SOPs and other procedures consistently.
· Working in a Team: Collaborating with other operators and team members.
Additional Responsibilities (May Vary):
· Basic Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on labelling machinery.
· Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory control and stock management.
· Quality Control: Inspecting labelled products for defects or errors.
