Job Purpose
To manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of food, beverage, and non-food items in accordance with company policies and hygiene standards, while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection
- Receive goods from suppliers and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for damage, expiry, and compliance with specifications.
- Reject and return incorrect or substandard deliveries.
- Storage & Inventory
- Properly store items in designated areas (dry, chiller, freezer) ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Ensure proper labeling, rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and organization of inventory.
- Conduct daily and monthly stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
- Issuing & Record-Keeping
- Issue items to various departments (kitchen, housekeeping, bar, etc.) based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing items.
- Update stock cards and inventory management systems regularly.
- Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure storerooms meet hygiene, safety, and pest control standards.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely usage or disposal.
- Comply with HACCP and internal audit standards.
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the purchasing team for reordering stock.
- Work with chefs and department heads to forecast needs and manage par levels.
- Report low stock, discrepancies, or irregularities to supervisors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of inventory management and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with storekeeping software (e.g., FMC, Materials Control, SAP, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move stock as required.
- Basic Excel or spreadsheet knowledge for reporting.
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential or high-value items.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
