Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Store Incharge to oversee the management of inventory and materials for our Railway Project in Odisha. The role involves maintaining proper records, ensuring the availability of materials such as rails, sleepers, fastenings, fittings, ballast, and allied items, while adhering to company policies, Railway specifications, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials in line with approved procedures.
· Maintain accurate stock registers, material inward/outward records, and inventory reports.
· Ensure proper handling and storage of rails, sleepers, ballast, fastenings, fittings, and other railway project materials.
· Conduct regular physical verification of stock and reconcile discrepancies.
· Monitor material consumption and raise indents for timely procurement.
· Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory control practices.
· Coordinate with procurement, project, and site teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
· Ensure compliance with Railway specifications and project quality standards.
· Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Graduate/Diploma in any discipline
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in store/inventory management, preferably in railway or infrastructure projects.
· Good knowledge of material handling, stock management, and Powerplay/Excel-based reporting.
· Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage a team of store assistants/helpers.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of P-Way materials and storage procedures.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills with site teams and vendors.
- Ability to lead store manpower and maintain discipline.
- Problem-solving and time-management abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
