We are looking for an organized, experienced store keeper to be responsible for all stock, staff management, and planning promotional campaigns for the store. To be successful as a store keeper you must be able to multitask and perform under pressure while remaining professional with customers. A good store keeper is able to manage stock by keeping a record of sales and ordering the required replacement items, occasionally making new product purchases that consumers may enjoy.
Responsibilities:
·Record the store material receipt and consumption on a daily basis.
·Checking the stock as per records.
·Receiving materials, stocking, recording of receipts, assisting to prepare quality reports of the received materials.
·Issue the materials as per the indent for different work.
·General supervision on the site regarding wastage of material, improper use of materials etc.
·Recollecting the balance/ unused materials at the end of the day.
·Update records on display boards and display slates regarding the stock.
·Prepare fortnightly/monthly consumption reports jointly with the junior engineers.
·Prepare a list of excess material.
·Update the stocks periodically.
·Maintain record of cash purchase.
·Maintain record of departmental tools, machinery etc. on site.
·Follow up with material suppliers, with prior consent from purchase department, to ensure timely supply.
·Inform the concern person or engineer of the working condition of the machinery.
Requirements:
·A high school qualification, PUC or equivalent.
·5 + years of store keeper experience in roofing industry and knowledge of construction and/or building materials.
·Prior experience in retail, preferably in a management position, would be advantageous.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
