Job Summary:
Sri Sai Chaitanya School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies Teacher for the High School section. The ideal candidate should be able to teach Social Science subjects (History, Civics, Geography, and Economics) for Grades 6 to 10, and inspire students through engaging teaching methods, discussions, and real-world applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Arts (B.A./M.A.) with a specialization in History, Civics, Geography, or related fields
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – Mandatory
- TET-qualified candidates will be preferred
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in high school (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Studies subjects for Grades 6–10 as per the state curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials in alignment with school and board guidelines
- Conduct interactive and student-friendly classes with the use of maps, charts, stories, and case studies
- Assess students regularly through tests, projects, and activities
- Maintain attendance and academic records of students
- Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school events and meetings
- Provide remedial support for weak students and maintain parent communication
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication in English
- Good classroom management and student engagement
- Familiarity with TSBIE/State Board curriculum
- Ability to integrate technology (videos, digital resources) in teaching
- A passion for education and patience in handling students
Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Salary:
₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on qualifications & experience)
