Job Description
The role
As a Senior Quality member, you will oversee testing of applications developed by custom development. You will be involved in end-to-end processes and metrics for software testing within the organization and own the implementation of integration and other level of testing. You will collaborate with project managers and software developers to establish reporting metrics, test scenarios, and efficiencies through manual testing and stream lining QA techniques to achieve quality objectives. This role demands someone who has:

- Responsible for mentoring and assisting junior resources in the team

- Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with key stakeholders across different lines of business and hierarchies.

How you will influence:
- Cultivate and disseminate best practices of quality and help to remove impediments
- Assist and steer the testing/QA teams to implement the test approach and execution; Ensure stakeholder are informed of progress towards objectives
- Help improve the overall quality of products & applications by analyzing Sunny days and Rainy days scenarios
- Improve the overall health of projects/applications by working with development and quality specialists
Key responsibilities
- Analysing the requirement from testing perspective
- Closely working with scrum master and product owner to identify the risk areas
- In depth regression testing which will cover all components
- Creating test plans and writing test scripts
- Managing the defects logged and tracking them till they get closed
- Learning the existing functionality of the BI application and share your feedbacks
Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to independently create test data as per the requirements
- Experience in database testing
- Experience writing complex queries in SQL
- Excellent client communication skills
- Hands on experience in Testing Automation, preferably using Selenium
- Well versed with testing methodologies
- Previous experience of testing Microsoft applications
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Ability to find, file and manage bugs, aggressively driving quality
- Experienced in testing larger scale projects/ quick changes from planning to sign off
- Exposure to Defect Tracking tool i.e. TFS, JIRA, Azure Devops
- Must have proven ability to provide project estimates and work- breakdown schedules
- Must be extremely responsive, able to work under pressure in crisis with a strong sense of urgency
- Hands on experience on JMeter
Preferred but not mandatory
- ISTQB or ISEB certification foundation level
- Good understanding of Rally or similar test management tool
Education and Experience
- Requires Bachelors in Engineering Degree or equivalent
- 4+ years professional experience in testing
