Key Responsibilities:
Testing and Validation:
Conduct manual functional, regression, and integration testing on new or modified software to verify compliance with requirements and standards.
Perform Web Application, API validation (API and Mobile is preferred) and utilize API testing tools to ensure data integrity, functionality, and performance.
Write, revise, and maintain test plans, test cases, and procedures for product evaluations and defect identification.
Create and manage an active test library with comprehensive scenarios to ensure thorough requirements and regression coverage, including positive and negative testing.
Ensure alignment and maintenance of test automation script library for manual tests; provide update to automation team.
Collaboration and Review:
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functionality, usability, and testing implications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in requirements, enhance test coverage, and ensure alignment on project goals.
Review and contribute to end-user and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
Act as a coach and mentor for others.
Defect Tracking and Reporting:
Identify, document, and track product defects and gaps, providing clear and concise feedback to stakeholders.
Prepare comprehensive reports on testing outcomes, highlighting defects and recommending improvements.
Operational Excellence:
Provide accurate task estimates and deliver testing activities on time, meeting project schedules and deadlines.
Actively contribute to maintaining and improving testing processes and methodologies.
Participate in an on-call rotational schedule to support critical testing needs outside of standard business hours.
Distribute, communicate and manage complex QA projects with minimal intervention while ensuring a seamless delivery.
Establish, track to, and consistently report QA metric driven goals to leadership; conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to established QA processes and standards.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful (Required Skills):
At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience in writing manual test cases, test plans, and executing test activities.
Strong understanding of software quality assurance standards, practices, and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Web Application, API validation (API and Mobile is preferred), API testing tools, and manual test case execution.
Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot defects, analyse test coverage, and predict gaps in requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to produce quality test cases, plans, and release documentation.
Ability to balance individual and team effort in collaborative processes while meeting set deadlines.
Able to comprehend, perform project planning and execution, and mentor others while delivering on large, complex QA initiatives with minimal assistance and review.
Education/ Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with structured delivery processes and Agile methodologies.
Working knowledge of environments like Windows, Linux, and iOS, with varying database configurations.
Understanding of test automation use cases and maintenance requirements
