Registrar for University Level
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university.
- Preferably with a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
Experience:
- At least 15 years of administrative experience in a university or educational institution of higher education, out of which at least 8 years should be in a Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
- OR
- Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher education.
- OR
- 15 years of administrative experience in government/PSUs with adequate exposure to academic administration.
Age Limit:
- Usually not exceeding 57 years at the time of appointment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of university governance, UGC/AICTE/NAAC/NIRF compliance, examination systems, and student services.
- Proficient in administration, legal matters, statutory compliance, and office automation tools.
Responsibilities:
- Manage student registration and enrollment processes, including course selection, scheduling, and tuition payment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including demographic information, academic transcripts, and enrollment status.
- Coordinate course scheduling, classroom assignments, and academic calendars.
- Ensure compliance with academic policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Provide guidance and support to students, faculty, and staff on registration procedures and academic requirements.
- Process requests for transcripts, grade reports, and other academic documents.
- Collaborate with academic departments to coordinate course offerings and curriculum changes.
- Oversee graduation processes, including degree audits, diploma distribution, and commencement ceremonies.
- Manage academic probation, suspension, and reinstatement procedures.
- Assist with the implementation of student information systems and technology solutions.
- Prepare and distribute class schedules, course catalogs, and academic calendars.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of student records and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with other administrative offices, such as admissions, financial aid, and student services, to ensure coordinated support for students.
