Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Register patients and update personal and insurance information accurately.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide necessary information regarding hospital services.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for patient-related activities.
- Manage patient files and maintain confidentiality of all medical and personal information.
- Collect consultation fees or deposits and issue receipts as needed.
- Assist with admission and discharge procedures when required.
- Maintain visitor logs and monitor access to restricted areas.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and hospital management software (if applicable).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
- Fluency in local language and English.
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
- May involve extended periods of sitting and use of a computer.
