DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Assists Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; maintains and supports documentation and records. Works under moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso software for dimensional inspection.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T, to perform accurate inspections.
- Conduct first principal measurements and surface finish/profile inspections.
- Perform statistical process capability studies and apply quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP).
- Assist in product and component testing using a variety of measurement equipment.
- Record and analyze inspection results, prepare technical reports, and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain and calibrate measurement and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Support measurement uncertainty studies and contribute to laboratory management practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers regarding inspection results and product specifications.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.High school diploma or equivalent (as per regulatory requirements).
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in CMM programming and inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience
- Proficient in ZEISS Calypso CMM programming and operating.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Knowledge of surface finish and profile inspection techniques.
- Experience with first principle measurement systems.
- Competence in statistical process control and quality tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP).
