- Job Description
- To lead the plant production in shift by ensuring the safety and quality standards.
- To co-ordinate with necessary departments in shift and ensure smooth production.
- To manage daily running of production to meet the customers’ need
- Make sure all production activities in shift are comply with safety policy and company guideline. Zero safety incidents.
- Ensure daily production targets and linked KPIs are met in shift.
- Review and plan resources for production in shift. Escalate incase of any issue.
- Monitor the whole production process and ensure product quality, safety and ontime completion.
- Provide training to batch makers and lead batch makers to complete production order efficiently. Update the Skill Matrix in defined frequency.
- Check if the equipment/utility is in good condition, including HSD mixers, mills, dust collector, ventilation, ground line.
- Co-ordinate with maintenance team for timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Conduct monthly departmental safe meeting and track the action closure.
- Share feedback promptly for new developed formulae.
- Reduce the hazardous waste generation in plant with implementation of best practices.
- Improve productivity & process loss by implementing best practices.
- Improve hazard identification and risk assessment skill.
- Drive Continuous Improvement activities (Kaizens/ CI Projects) as per organization requirements on self and by involving the operators.
- Track the performance of machines and operators and give feedback/ necessary action
- Prepare/ update the daily production reports for communication and tracking.
- To distribute manpower according to workload at each workstation
- To stop the work whenever the conditions/ behaviours are unsafe for safety and quality.
- To review and sign subordinate’s overtime application and record
