JD :
1. Strong knowledge of fabrication materials and industrial standards (IS/ASTM/API).— Inspect incoming raw materials plates/pipes/fasteners etc. and ensure they meet required specifications standards. Verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery challan.
2. EXPERIENCE with quality tools and measuring instruments.— Perform visual and dimensional checks using appropriate measuring instruments (verniercalliper/micrometer/height gauge).identify and tag rejected material and segregate as per SOP.
3. Understanding engineering drawing and welding symbols.— Ensure materials comply with quality standards, welding specifications and client requirements.
4. Good communication and documentation skills.-- Co-ordinate with stores, purchase and production teams for clarification on descrepancies.Check and maintain records of material test certificates, third party inspection reports and supplier quality documents
5. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management system is a plus.— Contribute to continuous improvement in inward QC process and quality systems. Provide feedback on supplier quality performance.
· Qualification and experience required.
· Diploma /B.E/B.TECH in mechanical engineering or relevant field.
· 2-4 years of experience in quality control within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
