Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Order Management:Preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking order status, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Inventory Management:Monitoring stock levels, optimizing inventory turnover, and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
- Cost Control:Identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable pricing, and managing procurement budgets.
- Quality Assurance:Ensuring that purchased goods and services meet required quality standards.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Collaboration:Working with internal stakeholders (e.g., other departments) to understand their purchasing needs.
- Market Research:Staying informed about market trends, new products, and relevant regulations.
- Problem Solving:Addressing any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers or deliveries.
