Job Description: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor (also known as Manufacturing Supervisor) to oversee our production operations in Navi Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading production teams to achieve operational excellence and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency
- Lead, train, and manage production team members including operators, technicians, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
- Plan and schedule production activities based on customer demands and material availability
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, waste reduction, and delivery timelines
- Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions when required
- Coordinate with maintenance team for equipment upkeep and preventive maintenance schedules
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods at production floor level
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as per ISO standards and company procedures
- Handle production-related issues and escalations promptly
- Coordinate with other departments including Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Logistics
Required Qualifications / Educational Background
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering - Mandatory
Experience Requirements
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in production/manufacturing supervision
- Previous experience in managing production teams and processes
- Experience in manufacturing environment (preferably in industrial/mechanical sector)
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning
- Knowledge of quality control systems and manufacturing standards
- Familiarity with production management software and ERP systems
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of safety protocols and industrial safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in similar industry or manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems
- Certification in production management or related field
